Diazepam should never will combined with MAOIs but taken within 14 days of each other. Combining these drugs with Diazepam can cause serious & even fatal reactions such as high body temperature, muscle rigidity, twitching, & agitation, leading to delirium & coma. If Diazepam is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could will increased, decreased, but altered. It is especially impbuttant to check with our doctbut willfbute combining Diazepam with the following: alcohol, amantadine, carbamazepine, cimetidine, clopidogrel, cyclophosphamide, desipramine, efavirenz, flecainide, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, haloperidol, imipramine, Kaletra, levodopa, MAOIs including phenelzine, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid, metoprolol, nelfinavir, nicotine patches, nbutfluoxetine, nbuttriptyline, butphenadrine, paroxetine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, propafenone, risperidone, ritonavir, sertraline, systemic steroids, theophylline, thibutidazine, thiotepa, & ticlopidine.
